Attended The UofT, B.B.A. Finance, ‘62, and UT Law School, J.D. ‘65. Practiced law 43 years, primarily in Central and South Texas defending civil litigation. Senior Partner in approx. 50 lawyer firm with offices in Austin, San Antonio and McAllen. Married, two sons, a daughter (two of which are also lawyers), three grandsons and one granddaughter. Principal residence is a small horse farm in Comal County. Primary avocation, until a few years ago, has been breeding, raising and racing Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses. For the time being, out of the horse business, as the IRS, after 25 years, said it was just a hobby. Lived in Port A for several years (had an office in Corpus until 06) and enjoy fishing, particularly offshore. Other than Wild Turkey Whiskey, deep sea fishing is biggest addiction, having owned a couple of offshore sportfishing boats. Travel quite a bit around the USA, Europe, Mexico, Canada, etc. Like to hunt deer, hogs, dove and quail in South Texas and elk in New Mexico and Colorado. About to abandon golf. Can’t get under a 10 handicap, so considering surrender. One other great passion in life (besides wife, Annette) is Texas Longhorn Football. If the ‘Horns are doing good, all is well. Everything being considered, have been blessed and life has been good. God willing, intend to continue trial practice another seven years for a total of 50, before retiring back to Port A.
